Spring Art Trip 2010 - AUVERGNE :
This year the art trip will go to a very interesting area where numerous painters before us have created their most inspired work, where the stunning landscape varies from volcanic mountains to mysterious castles and dreamy views on a pond. An area with plenty of museums, beautiful churches and other architecture in different styles and … an opportunity to participate in a painting contest….
We will stay half board in a splendid family hotel that we will have all to ourselves! - and there will even be a big salon to discuss each days progress…

| Tuesday May 18th | Travel to Saint Nectaire (approx. 6 hours), group Dinner |
| Wednesday May 19th | Visit Murol, known for its landscape- and fauvist painters. We’ll sketch the magnificent landscape with its volcanic mountains and plateaus. |
| Thursday May 20th | Visit the village of Blesle. This village organizes an annual painting competition for canvases and drawings of the lovely village. It is a competition that attracts many artists groups… and Pim has arranged it so that we can participate!! |
| Friday May 21st | Visit of the upland plateau, famous for its goat cheese, with its striking mountain houses and goat farms. We will draw this peculiar architecture as well as the landscape with its old craters. In the afternoon we visit the stunning Chateau de Val near Bort les Orges, we will draw it in a “realistic” fashion, in pencil and afterwards visit the modern art exhibition of contemporary artists in the chateau. |

| Sign up: | Send an email to info@hangarart.org or Add your name to the list at the Hangar before March 29th. Pay 120€ per “artist” participant (cheques accepted) to confirm NB: 50% back if you cancel after the 31st of March. Cancellations after March 31st will be refunded with 50%. (If insufficient participants the trip will be cancelled and you will get a full refund of your payment) |
